Free battery health test

A conductance test that measures the battery's actual ability to deliver current, not just its resting voltage. You get the printed result whether you buy anything or not.

A battery can read 12.6 volts and still be incapable of turning your engine on a cold morning. Voltage alone tells you almost nothing.

Free alternator and charging-system check

If the charging system is under-charging or over-charging, a new battery will fail too. We check it before we sell you anything.

This is also where a parasitic drain gets found — the accessory, alarm or tracker that quietly flattens the battery overnight.

Fitment while you wait

Fitted to the manufacturer's torque specification by a trained technician and signed off on the job card. Terminals cleaned and protected, hold-down refitted properly.

On many modern vehicles a battery change needs the system re-registered so the charging strategy matches the new battery. We do that as part of the fitment.

Scrap exchange and recycling

We take your old battery, store it in a bunded, ventilated, lockable area, record it on a movement register, and release it only to a licensed recycler.

Scrap exchange is included in the counter price. You are not charged for it, and there is no reason for the old unit to end up in a skip or in your boot.

We bring it to you

Within roughly 10 km of the store — Alberton, Alrode, New Redruth, Meyersdal, Brackendowns and the surrounding southern East Rand — we will bring the battery to where the vehicle is standing and fit it there. Call the store, tell us the make, model and year, and we bring the right size and the right chemistry the first time.

If the vehicle is outside that radius, or it is not the battery, we will say so on the telephone rather than send somebody out.
